Shipping overview

The shipping configuration pages allow you to setup how shipping charges are added to customer orders. You can choose to offer free shipping, use the USPS, UPS, DHL, and FedEx integrated shipping calculators, ship based on flat rate or table based calculations.

  1. Click the "store" tab at the top of your site editor to access the store manager.
  2. Click the "Shipping options" link.
  3. Customize your settings.
  4. Click "Ok" to save your changes.

UPS shipping

When the UPS shipping calculator is enabled, customers will be shown a list of available shipping options between your location and their shipping address. Each of the options will be displayed along with the price that is returned by UPS.

To enable UPS shipping...

  • Make sure that all products in your product catalog have the weight entered.
  • Click the "shipping options" link on the main store manager page.
  • Click the "setup" link next to the UPS option.
  • Check the box to enable UPS "Enable United Parcel Service Shipping Support".
  • Enter your location. Rates will be computed based on your location as the source.
  • Select the shipping methods that you want to be available to customers.
  • Choose your UPS pickup type.
  • Enter details about the packaging that you use.
  • Click "OK" to save your changes.

U.S.P.S. shipping

When the U.S.P.S shipping calculator is enabled customers will be shown a list of available shipping options between your location and their shipping address. Each of the options will be displayed along with the price that is returned by U.S.P.S.

To enable U.S.P.S. shipping...

  • Make sure that all products in your product catalog have the weight entered.
  • Click the "shipping options" link on the main store manager page.
  • Click the "setup" link next to the U.S.P.S. option.
  • Check the box to enable U.S.P.S. shipping "Enable United States Parcel Service Shipping Support".
  • Enter your U.S.P.S. account information - IMPORTANT: you must contact U.S.P.S. to establish your online shipping account.
  • Enter your zip code.
  • Select the shipping methods that you want to make available to your customers.
  • Select the package type that you use for shipping.
  • Click "Ok" to save your changes.

Flat rate shipping

Flat rate shipping methods allow you to have shipping charges computed based any of the following criteria.

  • Calculated at ship time
  • Flat rate per order
  • Flat rate per item
  • % of subtotal
  • weight

To setup flat rate shipping...

  1. Click the "shipping options" link on the main store manager page.
  2. Click the "Add Flat Rate Shipping" link.
  3. Enter a name for this method. (this name is displayed when customers checkout)
  4. Select how shipping will be calculated.
  5. Enter the shipping rate.
  6. Click "Ok" to save your changes.

Table based shipping

Table based shipping methods allow you to have shipping charges computed based any of the following criteria:

  • By total weight
  • By subtotal
  • By number of items in order

To setup table based shipping...

  1. Click the "shipping options" link on the main store manager page.
  2. Click the "Add Table Shipping" link.
  3. Enter a name for this method. (this name is displayed when customers checkout)
  4. Select how shipping will be calculated.
  5. On each row enter the starting value, ending value and the rate to charge for that range of values.
  6. Click "Ok" to save your changes.

Handling fees

To setup handling fees, go to the main shipping settings page and click the "Handling Fees" link. Enter the handling fee to charge for each order and enter the text message to display.

Countries

Customize the countries that you will ship to. Click the countries link. If you want to ship to a limited set of countries, click the "CUSTOM COUNTRY LIST" option and check the box to each country that you want to make available as options to your customers.
